The Still-Life Set Up

The subjects I 'painted' with chalk were every day objects I had laying around the house. They were arranged on little tables. Lighting was a combination of daylight entering through the window on the right and table lamps. The cast shadows became a vital design element.

My hope was to take the 'ordinary' and make it 'extraordinary' through the immediacy of the medium and my own raw soaring enthusiasm ... Cezanne was 'the wind beneath my wings'.
