Stage Five

Warmer fleshy colors are built up on top of the cooler under-washes when they are dry, using thick paint plus medium.

The inner shapes of the main figure remain unblended.


Technical info: 'acrylic medium' is a clear viscous liquid which keeps the tube paint thick yet translucent; helps it spread easier; plus it retards drying ... allowing blending later in the next stage;

'warmer' refers to colors impacted by yellow - 'cooler' refers to colors impacted by blue
