The Completed Image

On the right: with the canvas horizontal (like a table top), thin washes had been pooled along the border separating the images, then the canvas was tilted to allow dripping diagonally.

A veil of soft color marries the dancer with her space.

On the left: when all was dried, translucent acrylic paint with medium was layered repeatedly until the image was softened into its dark environment.

The arm is completed along the bottom edge, so the figure seems to become a part of the viewers space.
